Production Process
Apricot ( prunus armeniaca) and Peach (Prunus persica) are members of the Rose family and distinguished by its velvety skin.
The apricots are thought to be native of Armenia and the peach originated in China, from where they were brought to regions along the Silk Road.
From the 1950s onwards both trees are the mainstays of the agricultural exports in Greece.
